Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has achieved the sale of more than 4 lakhs units of electric vehicles in India. MLMML made an announcement of its achievement on August 19, 2026. Became the first commercial vehicle manufacturer in the country that reached such high numbers of electric vehicle sales.

The sales include all kinds of electric vehicles sold in the last-mile passenger and cargo mobility segments. MLMML explained that their achievement is a result of the increasing popularity of electric three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles among their customers.

Adoption of electric mobility is directly related to the profitability of their business. Because lower operating cost, less dependence on petrol and diesel, and possibility to operate with the vehicle for extended periods of time. Make such electric vehicles popular in the Indian urban and semi-urban markets.

Passenger & Cargo Vehicles Fuel Growth

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility produces various electric vehicles that can be used for last-mile transportation needs. This manufacturer offers passenger carriers, cargo vehicles, and electric three-wheelers for transporting cargoes and passengers.

Some key models in the company’s electric vehicle lineup include:

  • Mahindra Treo series, used for carrying people and cargo.
  • Mahindra Zor Grand series, designed for urban cargo transportation.
  • Mahindra ZEO series, an electric four-wheeler used for cargo transportation.
  • Mahindra e-Alfa series, an electric three-wheeler for passenger transport.

Fleet Covers Over 9 Billion Kilometers!

As per Mahindra, its electric commercial vehicle fleet has covered a distance of more than 9 billion kilometers. As a result, the company claims that this would have led to the emission avoidance of around 185,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide.

"The environmental gain in the region translates to planting in excess of 8.3 million trees. While this gain will be huge. We believe that the commercial reason for adopting electric vehicles should also be emphasized." Mahindra stated.

According to Mahindra Last mile Mobility, clients are opting for electric cars where the use of such vehicles makes business sense. This is in relation to reduced operational costs and improved earning capacity.

Focus on Livelihoods and Economics

According to Suman Mishra, the Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited, the milestone celebrated was all about livelihoods generated by the company’s electric vehicles.

"4 Lakh is not just a number for us. It is 4 Lakh livelihoods we help power every single day," Mishra said. She further explained that the success achieved by the company belonged to the drivers and entrepreneurs, who embraced electric mobility as well as the partners and employees who have contributed to making EVs a sensible choice for India’s last mile economy.

  • Improving economic aspects of running vehicles daily.

Mahindra Aims at One Million EVs
