Kia India has made 150 Syros EV deliveries to customers in Kochi. Making it an important step forward for its electric vehicle operations in India. The deliveries were done via its dealer partner, Incheon Kia. This success shows that consumers are becoming more confident about electric vehicles. It further demonstrates the growing acceptance of electric vehicles as regular cars rather than something for eco-conscious people.
This milestone in Kochi is happening when Kia tries to become more dominant in the growing electric passenger vehicle segment in India. The Syros EV fulfills three important criteria that a buyer may have: high driving range, quick charging, and ownership security.

Apart from these features, Kia uses certain ownership programs to counter some doubts related to EV purchasing, such as battery life, re-sale value and initial cost.
Kia Syros EV has an 15-year or unlimited kilometre warranty on the high-voltage battery for the first owner. This facility is not available for commercial vehicles like taxis. In case of second owners, the warranty period extends up to eight years or 1,60,000 km, whichever comes first. Some more facilities offered with the purchase of Syros EV include:
- BaaS plans available starting from ₹7.99 lakh.
- 80 percent assured buyback offer after three years of purchase.
- Facilities of the larger service and workshop network by Kia.
- The assured buyback offer is a limited time introductory offer for those who purchase Syros EV within 60 days of its launch.
Incheon Kia Builds 1.6 MW Solar Power System
The launch in Kochi is also drawing attention to the issue of sustainability. Not only related to the car itself. Incheon Kia has built 1.6 MW of solar power generation capacity in its facility of a dealer, thus allowing the outlet to generate some renewable energy in the course of daily work.
The facilities use such technologies as solar power generation, water recycling and material recycling in order to decrease their environmental impact.
Also, Incheon Kia has been included into the India Book of Records. As the company that achieved the biggest number of sold electric vehicles on a single day by selling 150 Syros EVs in Kochi.
ELCTRIK Speaks
The delivery of 150 Syros EV demonstrates how Kia tries to promote electric mobility using such aspects as technology, convenient charging and financial protection. For the company, Kochi became not only an example of success in the single-day sales but also a step towards establishing a bigger network of reliable electric vehicles in India.
