Rockrider Explore Series of Decathlon Sports India now comes with three additional models of mountain bicycles suited for the Indian rider. The newly designed line, EXPL 10, EXPL 20 and EXPL 140, caters to beginners, leisure and more advanced trail riders. The EXPL 140 marks Decathlon's first 29-inch mountain bicycle produced in India.

A Line Designed with Indian Riders in Mind
The newly redesigned line has been crafted with local research about the physiology of the rider. Also riding preferences and terrain characteristics. The geometries of the frames, handlebars, saddles and test protocols have been fine-tuned in accordance with the Indian cities and adjacent trails. It’s a basic concept – one line for every step of the way.
Three bicycles, three types of riding
EXPL 10 – Everyday MTB for novices
This bicycle is specifically made for first-time buyers and occasional riders, prioritizing lightweight and maneuverability.

EXPL 20 – Comfort-first leisure bicycle
With a step up in ergonomics and durability, the EXPL 20 is a bicycle that will help you keep fit on a daily basis and have some fun.
- Frame made of steel with cable routing inside
- Comfort saddle, wider handlebars of 660 mm
- Mechanical disc brakes providing steady braking
- Main parts certified by ISO
- According to Decathlon, it is a “comfort without compromise” choice.
EXPL 140 – First 29 inch “Made-in-India” MTB from Decathlon
For those cyclists who want to get out of the city and ride off-road, the EXPL 140 is the top-end model of the Explore Series range.
- 29 inch aluminium bike featuring 29-inch wheels
- 100 mm hydraulic suspension offering better shock absorption
- 10-speed Shimano CUES drivetrain with trigger shifters
- Disc brakes ensuring reliable performance when descending the slope
The EXPL 140 is the first Decathlon mountain bike with 29-inch wheels produced locally in India for riders who want to ride technical off-road trails.

Accessing the Mobility Movement in India
This is taking place against the backdrop of rising popularity of cycling as an activity and means of mobility.
