Avore Electric has decided to enter the market of electric motorcycles with the launch of the EX. Launched on 28th July 2026 in Ahmedabad, this bike is a landmark event for this indigenous company. It will support the launch with its own technology stack, long list of features and starting price of Rs. 1,24,999 (ex-showroom).

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the bike, which will receive significant attention not only from the industry but also the politicians. Now, bookings for the EX cost Rs. 799, and the deliveries will start in two months.

Three Variants, One Clear Message

There are three variants of EX – EX 2S, EX 2, and EX 1. Avore positions this motorcycle as a functional and technological option for daily driving. This bike was created from scratch for easy transition from a petrol motorcycle to an electric one. It has all the necessary characteristics of a modern motorcycle.

The advanced variants, EX 2S and EX 2, have options for two-tone paints, whereas the EX 1 comes in one-tone colors. Avore Electric states that the language of the design remains aspirational but not alienated. There are traditional proportions of the motorcycle along with the riding posture made for Indian road conditions.

Important Performance Figures

The engine at the core of the EX model is a permanent magnet synchronous motor without rare earths. A technology Avore Electric believes fits into its indigenous sourcing policy. The power output of the motorcycle differs according to the version, from 7.5 kW to 10.5 kW. While maximum torque at the wheel reaches 250 Nm for all versions.

In theory, the performance figures are impressive for the class:

  • EX 2S max speed: 114 km/h.
  • EX 2 max speed: 100 km/h.
  • EX 1 max speed: 100 km/h.
  • IDC range: 260 km for the EX 2S, 255 km for the EX 2 and 160 km for the EX 1.

This is another area which could be EX’s strongest point, particularly for urban riders looking to minimize charging breaks. Avore has relied quite heavily on convenience too. Courtesy of the onboard 1500W charger that is compatible with household socket systems. According to Avore, the bike goes from 20% to 80% in about two hours, and the complete charge takes roughly four hours.

Tech-focused motorcycle

The EX will differentiate itself from the rest on the basis of its technology and rider assistance package. Avore has designed its motorcycle keeping in mind the company’s AVORE SENSE operating system. Powered by AVA (Avore’s vehicle assistance layer, and Avore Synapse), the AI powered ride companion that helps monitor ride data and behavior of the rider.

Other features include:

  • Apex performance mode for better acceleration.
  • Syft manual gear mode for improved rider control.
  • ARS for intuitive rider inputs.
  • PAM+ park assist for ease of maneuverability at low speed.
  • Guide-Me-Home Lights, Auto Indicator Cut-off and Ahoy! Welcome Lights.

The company further claims that the Drive Link Arm is a motor and swingarm combination which helps improve stability, riding feel, and sturdiness of the motorcycle.

Made in India, Tested in India

Avore Electric seems proud of its Make in India story. The EX range of motorcycles has been built and tested over three years at the R&D facility in Ahmedabad. It has over 120 IP filing to show for it along with in-house development of major components. Like the battery pack, BMS, motor controller, charging system, and operating software.

Avore claims that the motorcycle has been extensively tested using over 1,00,000 km of road test. 2,500 hours of dynamometer tests with battery getting NATRAX homologation. BMS tested by ICAT. There is also a 5-year or 60,000 km warranty on the battery.

The EX from Avore Electric seems like the brand’s first honest attempt to build an electric bike that means business. The vehicle's specifications, ease of charging, and features make the EX relevant in the market. Especially for Indians who are in search of something practical with a touch of luxury. However, the key is in how the bike will perform in actual use by customers. If all of Avore's promises come through, EX could be a significant player in the electric bike industry of India.
