India Yamaha Motor (IYM) announced that the Yamaha XSR155 will now be available in a new Metallic Black shade. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 1,58,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new variant features a black body colour combined with golden upside-down (USD) front forks. Apart from the new paint finish, the motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged.
Engine and Performance Details
The Yamaha XSR155 is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). The engine produces 13.5 kW of power and 14.2 Nm of torque, is paired with a 6-speed gearbox that includes an assist and slipper clutch.
Chassis and Hardware
The motorcycle is built on Yamaha’s Deltabox frame. It comes with an aluminium swingarm, USD front forks and a linked-type monocross rear suspension setup. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels.
In terms of safety, the XSR155 is equipped with dual-channel ABS and traction control.
Model Background
The XSR155 was launched in India in November 2025 as a modern-retro motorcycle. It combines retro-style design elements with components seen on Yamaha’s 155cc platform models.
With the addition of the Metallic Black option, the company has expanded the available colour choices for the model in the Indian market.
