Vingroup has introduced a program called “Trade Gas for Electric” to encourage customers to switch from gasoline-powered vehicles to electric vehicles. The initiative will be implemented in Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The company said the program offers additional discounts on VinFast electric cars and scooters for customers who replace their old gasoline vehicles with electric models. The incentives will be available for a limited period and will run alongside other existing offers in each market.
Additional Discounts on VinFast Electric Vehicles
Under the program, customers who switch from gasoline vehicles to VinFast electric vehicles will receive an additional 3% discount on electric cars and 5% discount on electric scooters.
These discounts will be applied on top of other incentives that may already be available in the respective markets.
The program applies to purchases made during the program period across the four countries where the company operates.
Ride-Hailing Fare Reduction on Electric Mobility Services
Along with vehicle purchase incentives, GSM Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company has announced a 10% reduction in fares for its electric mobility services.
The fare reduction will apply to Xanh SM services in Vietnam and Green SM services in Indonesia. The reduced fares will be available from March 11 to March 31, 2026. The company said the measure is intended to provide an alternative transport option using electric vehicles.
Program Duration and Possible Extension
The “Trade Gas for Electric” initiative will run together with other incentive programs already available in each market.
Vingroup stated that the program period may be extended depending on international fuel price trends and market developments.
