Vietnam-based electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast launched the VF MPV 7 in India at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 24.49 lakh. The model is the company’s third offering in the country after the VF 6 and VF 7. The vehicle will be assembled at the company’s facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.

VinFast VF MPV 7: Dimension and seat layout

The VF MPV 7 is designed as a seven-seater with a three-row layout. It uses a theatre-style seating arrangement and includes a third row intended for passenger use. The vehicle has a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. Boot space is listed at 126 litres with all seats in use and can be expanded up to 1,240 litres.

VinFast VF MPV 7: Battery, range and performance

The model is equipped with a 60.13 kWh battery pack. It has an ARAI-certified range of 517 km on a full charge. Fast charging can take the battery from 10% to 70% in about 30 minutes. The electric motor produces 150 kW of power and 280 Nm of torque. The vehicle is front-wheel drive and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 10 seconds.

VinFast VF MPV 7: Interior

The VF MPV 7 includes a 10.1-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Other features include connected car technology, automatic climate control with PM 2.5 filter, multiple USB ports, and a virtual assistant system. The cabin offers configurable seating with split and reclining options across rows.

Safety features include ABS, electronic stability control, traction control, and four airbags. Additional systems such as hill start assist and roll-over mitigation are also included.

Network and expansion plans

VinFast has been expanding its retail and service network in India. The company reported reaching 50 facilities and plans to scale up to 75 showrooms by the end of 2026. On the service side, it is working with partners to set up extended workshops, targeting over 230 workshops across the country by the end of 2026.
