Vietnam-based electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has appointed Vineet Srivastava as Deputy CEO for its e-scooter business in India as the company prepares to enter the country's electric two-wheeler market.

The appointment was announced in June 2026. VinFast plans to expand its India portfolio with electric scooters alongside its passenger electric vehicle business.

Will Lead E-Scooter Business Operations

In his new role, Srivastava will be responsible for network development, business development, sales operations, promotions and market planning for VinFast India's e-scooter business.

The company is expected to introduce electric scooters from its global portfolio, including the Evo, Feliz and Viper models, in the Indian market later this year.

More Than 15 Years At Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India

Before joining VinFast, Srivastava worked at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. for more than 15 years, where he most recently served as General Manager.

During his tenure, he handled functions including Sales Strategy & Planning, Institutional Sales, Retail Finance and enterprise-wide business initiatives. He also worked on expanding Honda's secondary sales network and retail finance programmes.

According to details shared by the company, he was involved in onboarding 894 authorised secondary network outlets and helped mobilise more than ₹2.7 billion in funding to support the company's retail network.

Previous Experience

Prior to Honda, Srivastava held roles at Kotak Mahindra Old Life Insurance Limited, SBI Life Insurance Company Limited and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited. His experience includes business development, alternate channel management, retail finance and sales operations.
