VinFast has elevated Prashanth Rao to the role of Chief Executive Officer for its Middle East regional operations. The appointment follows his tenure as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at VinFast India, where he was part of the management committee and worked on market expansion and operational development initiatives.

Before joining VinFast, Rao held senior leadership positions at Nissan Motor Corporation, including roles linked to Infiniti operations in the Middle East and Japan. His responsibilities included aftersales operations, customer experience, retail sales and regional quality management.

Rao’s professional background spans more than two decades in the automotive sector. His experience includes aftersales management, new and used vehicle retail operations, customer quality, business development and network expansion. His career progression reflects a transition from field-level aftersales operations at Toyota Kirloskar Motor to regional leadership responsibilities across Asian and Middle Eastern automotive markets.
