Automotive components manufacturer Uno Minda has introduced a new range of trumpet horns for the Indian aftermarket. According to Uno Minda, the new trumpet horn range is intended to address the growing need for vehicle horns used for road communication and safety in increasingly congested traffic conditions. The company said the lineup has been developed for use across different vehicle categories, including passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles.
Multiple Variants for Different Applications
Uno Minda stated that the newly launched trumpet horn portfolio includes several variants designed for different vehicle segments and installation requirements.
Among them is the E80 12V Electronic Trumpet Horn, which features an integrated electronic chip designed to maintain consistent sound output. The company added that the model includes reverse polarity protection and plug-and-play installation. According to Uno Minda, the horn comes with a three-year warranty from the manufacturing date.
The lineup also includes the T80 12V Vertical Trumpet Horn with Grill, which uses a vertical mounting design and includes resistance to dust and water splashes.
Another variant, the T80 12V Vertical Trumpet Horn without Grill, is designed in a compact format and is intended to provide clear sound output, the company said.
Uno Minda further noted that the T80 12V Trumpet Horn has been developed for broader compatibility across passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles.
Melody Horn Introduced for Commercial Vehicles
Uno Minda has also introduced the T90 24V Melody Trumpet Horn, which the company said has been developed specifically for commercial vehicles.
According to the company, the horn offers eight selectable sound tones and is intended to serve as an alternative to conventional pipe horns used in some commercial vehicle applications.
Commenting on the launch, Anand Kumar, Vice President – Sales & Marketing (Aftermarket), Uno Minda Ltd., said increasing traffic congestion and varied driving conditions have made clear on-road communication more important for vehicle operators.
Availability and Pricing
Uno Minda said the trumpet horn range is manufactured using materials designed to withstand dust, heat, moisture, and vibration typically encountered in road environments.
The company added that the products will be available through offline aftermarket retail outlets as well as online platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Unomindakart.
According to Uno Minda, the new trumpet horn range is priced between ₹800 and ₹3,400 (MRP) depending on the model.
