Ultraviolette has expanded the X-47 electric motorcycle lineup in India with the launch of a new base variant. The motorcycle has been introduced at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.49 lakh, making it Rs 15,000 less expensive than the X-47 Original variant priced at Rs 2.64 lakh. The new variant was added to offer a lower entry point in the X-47 range while retaining the same mechanical setup and core features.
Hypersense Radar System Removed
The primary difference between the new base variant and the higher versions of the X-47 is the removal of the Hypersense radar-based rider assistance system. The Hypersense package available on higher trims includes features such as blind-spot detection, lane change assist, overtake alerts and rear collision warnings.

Apart from the omission of the radar system, the motorcycle continues to offer other electronic safety systems including traction control, dynamic stability control, dual-channel ABS, hill hold assist and park assist. The X-47 also continues to feature Glide, Combat and Ballistic riding modes.

The motorcycle retains several convenience and connected features including:
- Three levels of regenerative braking
- Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
- Smartphone connectivity
- Type-C charging support
- Violette AI integration
- Dashcam functionality
- Deep sleep mode
Ultraviolette X-47: Battery, Powertrain and Range
Mechanically, the new variant remains unchanged. It continues to use a 7.1 kWh battery pack paired with a 27 kW electric motor. According to Ultraviolette, the X-47 produces 36.2 bhp and 550 Nm of torque. The motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 2.8 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 145 kmph. The company claims a riding range of up to 211 km on a single charge.

The introduction of a lower-priced X-47 variant reflects a growing trend among EV manufacturers to widen accessibility by removing select premium features while retaining the same battery and performance package. The move could help brands address a broader customer base in the premium electric motorcycle segment.
