Triumph Motorcycles has crossed the milestone of 1 lakh motorcycles on Indian roads, according to an announcement by Bajaj Auto. The sales growth follows the partnership between Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles, which began in the second quarter of 2023. The collaboration focuses on manufacturing, product development, and distribution of Triumph motorcycles in India.

Partnership Between Bajaj Auto and Triumph

Under the partnership, Bajaj Auto supports manufacturing, research and development, and distribution for Triumph motorcycles in India.

The collaboration has led to an expansion of Triumph’s retail network, which now covers more than 200 towns through over 230 stores across the country.

Expansion of Riding Community Activities

The company has also organised riding events and community activities for customers. These include programmes such as Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, World of Triumph, Triumph Tiger Trails, Scrambler rides, Bike Nights, and rides across the Western Ghats.

These initiatives are aimed at engaging motorcycle owners and building a riding community around the brand.

India-Made Models Exported to Global Markets

The Triumph 400 series motorcycles, manufactured in India, are exported to 18 international markets.

These include countries such as Japan, Australia, Mexico, Taiwan, and South Korea. The exports form part of the companies’ global manufacturing and distribution strategy.

Manik Nangia, President, Probiking, Bajaj Auto, said, “Reaching 1 lakh Triumph motorcycles on Indian roads within just 2.5 years is a proud milestone for us. Triumph customers are discerning riders who have strongly endorsed our engineering with our modern classic motorcycles. The brand has always been built for those who know the difference and we remain committed to strengthening our premium ecosystem and deepening our engagement with riders across the country.
