Tesla has opened a new electric vehicle charging station at Nexus Seawoods mall in Navi Mumbai. The facility is located in the basement parking area and includes a total of eight chargers.

This is part of the company’s ongoing effort to expand its charging infrastructure across urban locations where users typically spend time.

Charger types and capacity

The site includes four DC fast chargers and four AC chargers. The DC chargers support speeds of up to 250 kW, while the AC chargers offer up to 11 kW output. These options allow users to choose between faster charging for shorter stops and standard charging for longer durations.

Network presence in India

With this addition, Tesla now operates four charging locations in India. These include sites in Gurugram, Delhi, Mumbai, and Navi Mumbai. Across these locations, the network consists of 20 fast chargers and 14 destination chargers. The company has been placing these stations in areas such as malls and commercial hubs.

Charging experience and app integration

Tesla users can access the charging stations through the Tesla mobile app. The app allows navigation to charging points, monitoring of charging progress, and payment processing. The system also shows charger availability and provides notifications when charging is complete.

Additional retail presence

Alongside the charging station, Tesla has set up a temporary store at the same location. Visitors can view the vehicles, request test drives, and understand product features through guided sessions.
