Tesla Model Y L Deliveries Begin in India
Tesla has started deliveries of the Model Y Long Wheelbase (Model Y L) in India. The six-seater electric SUV is priced from Rs 61.99 lakh and comes with a claimed WLTP range of 681 km. The company has also outlined financing options and shared details of its service network expansion plans in the country.
Tesla Model Y L Deliveries Begin in India
Tesla has commenced deliveries of the Model Y Long Wheelbase (Model Y L) in India. The electric SUV is being delivered through the company's direct-to-consumer sales model.
The Model Y L is the latest addition to Tesla's India lineup and features a three-row, six-seat configuration. The vehicle is priced from Rs 61.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tesla Model Y L: Powertrain, Performance and Range
The Tesla Model Y L AWD is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup that produces 514 bhp and 590 Nm of torque.
According to the company, the SUV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and has a top speed of 201 km/h. Tesla claims a WLTP-certified driving range of up to 681 km on a single charge.
The vehicle also supports DC fast charging, with Tesla stating that up to 288 km of range can be added in 15 minutes under suitable charging conditions.
Tesla Model Y L: Seating Layout and Features
The Model Y L features a six-seat layout spread across three rows. The front and second rows are equipped with captain seats. Compared to the standard Model Y, the Long Wheelbase version receives an extended wheelbase and a revised roofline to provide additional cabin space.
Other highlights include 19-inch Machina 2.0 alloy wheels, a multi-link suspension setup, continuously variable electronic damping, and selectable drive modes.
Tesla Model Y L: Colour Options
Tesla is offering the Model Y L in six exterior paint options:
- Pearl White Multi-Coat
- Stealth Grey
- Diamond Black
- Glacier Blue
- Ultra Red
- Cosmic Silver
Buyers can choose between two interior themes: All Black and Zen Grey.
Tesla Model Y L: Financing Details
Tesla says the Model Y L can be purchased through financing plans with monthly payments starting from Rs 49,990, subject to terms and eligibility. The company states that down payments can start from Rs 6.5 lakh.
Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive Also Available
Tesla has also introduced the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive in India. The five-seater variant is priced at Rs 50.89 lakh, with deliveries scheduled to begin in July 2026.
The rear-wheel-drive version offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 500 km and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Tesla states that the vehicle provides up to 2,138 litres of storage capacity.
