TATA.ev has collaborated with Shell India Mobility to install 21 new TATA.ev x Shell Mega Charging Hubs across Bengaluru, Chennai, Mysuru, Pune and Vadodara. The new sites are equipped with 120 kW DC fast chargers and multiple charging bays.
With this addition, the total number of TATA.ev Mega Charging Hubs in India has crossed 130 operational locations. The expansion is part of the company’s ongoing effort to build public charging infrastructure under its ‘Open Collaboration 2.0’ initiative, which involves partnerships with charge point operators. TATA.ev has stated that it aims to enable over 400,000 charging points, including 500 Mega Charging Hubs, by 2027.
Charging Capacity and On-Site Facilities
Each TATA.ev x Shell Mega Charging Hub is equipped with at least 120 kW fast chargers designed to reduce charging time. The combined capacity of the newly launched hubs is around 2,500 kW. The charging locations include on-ground staff to assist users. Facilities at these hubs also include access to Shell Select and Deli2go stores, along with restrooms. TATA.ev customers are eligible for up to 25 percent discount on charging tariffs at these hubs.
City-Wise Distribution of Charging Hubs
Bengaluru
Nine new charging hubs have been added in Bengaluru, taking the city’s total to 13 TATA.ev Mega Charging Hubs. The locations include Yeshwanthpur, Thanisandra, Avalahalli, Chandapura, Devanahalli, Mysore Road, Prestige Tech Park, Kanakapura Road and Hennur Road. The sites are positioned across urban areas and along routes connecting Bengaluru to Mysuru, Tumakuru, Hosur, Hyderabad and Old Madras Road.
Chennai
Five new hubs have been set up in Chennai at 200ft Link Road, Maduravoyal, Ambattur, Chromepet and Thaiyur. These locations are intended to support both city travel and routes connecting to Pallavaram, Thuraipakkam, Vellore, Trichy and Puducherry.
Mysuru
A charging hub has been installed at Hunsur along the Mangalore–Mysuru highway. The site includes multiple charging bays and on-site facilities.
Pune
Five hubs have been added in Pune at Pimple Nilakh, Wagholi, Chakan, Talegaon and Varve. These sites are positioned to support city commutes as well as routes linking Mumbai, Nashik, Satara and Ahilyanagar.
Vadodara (NH 48)
One hub has been installed at Jambuva on National Highway 48 in Vadodara, strengthening charging access along the Ahmedabad–Mumbai corridor.
