Tata Motors has started deliveries of the updated Tata Punch EV in India. The model was launched in the country last month with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 9.69 lakh. The company is also offering the vehicle with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, which lowers the initial purchase cost while adding a battery subscription charge based on usage. The updated version introduces design revisions, changes to battery configurations and updates to equipment levels.
Tata Punch EV Facelift: Exterior Design Changes
The Punch EV facelift receives updates to the front section. The model now features a closed-off grille with body-coloured panels. The black strip that earlier connected the headlamps has been removed.
The SUV continues with a split headlamp layout, including connected LED daytime running lamps and repositioned headlamp units. The front bumper design has also been revised. From the side, the overall body shape remains unchanged. The model now comes with 16-inch alloy wheels with a revised design. At the rear, the vehicle features connected LED tail lamps similar to the updated internal combustion engine (ICE) version. The rear bumper has also been redesigned. The Punch EV offers 195 mm ground clearance and a water-wading capacity of 450 mm.
Tata Punch EV Facelift: Interior and Features
The interior layout remains similar to the previous version. Updates mainly include changes in trim and colour finishes.
Higher variants are equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo continues.
Depending on the variant, the vehicle offers features such as:

Safety equipment includes six airbags as standard, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.
Tata Punch EV Facelift: Battery Options and Range
The Punch EV facelift is offered with two battery pack options. The 30 kWh battery pack offers an ARAI-claimed range of 365 km. The 40 kWh battery pack is rated at 468 km (ARAI).
Tata Motors states a C75 real-world range of up to 355 km for the larger battery pack. The 40 kWh variants are paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 129 hp. The model continues to offer multiple drive modes and regenerative braking levels.
Charging options include 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW AC chargers. With a 65 kW DC fast charger, the battery can charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in about 26 minutes. The company is also offering a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner on select variants.
Tata Punch EV Facelift: Price and Variants
The Punch EV facelift is offered in six variants. Prices start at Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom). With the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, the starting price reduces to Rs 6.49 lakh, excluding a battery subscription charge of Rs 2.6 per kilometre.
