Tata Motors launched the facelifted Punch EV in India in 2026 at a starting price of Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is also available under a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan, with prices starting at Rs 6.49 lakh. Under this programme, customers pay Rs 2.6 per kilometre as a battery subscription charge.


Tata Punch EV Facelift: Battery Options, Range and Charging

The updated Tata Punch EV is offered with two battery packs: 30 kWh and 40 kWh. The 30 kWh battery has an ARAI-claimed range of 365 km and produces 87.16 bhp along with 153.8 Nm of torque. The 40 kWh battery delivers an ARAI-claimed range of 468 km, with a claimed C75 real-world range of up to 355 km, and generates 127.39 bhp. Both versions come with multiple drive modes and regenerative braking levels.


Charging options include 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW AC chargers, while DC fast charging up to 65 kW is supported, allowing a claimed 20 to 80 percent charge in 26 minutes. Select variants are offered with a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner.


Tata Punch EV Facelift: Features and Safety

Inside, the updated Tata Punch EV comes equipped with a 26.03 cm (10.25-inch) infotainment system by Harman and a 26 cm digital instrument cluster with an embedded navigation display. Depending on the variant, features include a 360-degree surround view camera, blind-spot view monitor, ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging and over-the-air (OTA) updates. The 40 kWh variants are also equipped with an electronic parking brake with auto hold.


On the safety front, the Punch EV is offered with six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), ISOFIX child seat anchors and hill-hold control. The 40 kWh battery pack is covered by a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty for the first owner, subject to terms and conditions. The updated Punch EV continues to be offered as an entry-level electric SUV with two battery options, revised styling elements and an expanded feature list across variants.
