Bengaluru-based Simple Energy announced the price and availability of its new electric scooter, the Simple Ultra, on 17 April 2026. The model had been unveiled earlier as part of the company’s Gen 2 portfolio, with bookings and initial deliveries already underway.

Simple Ultra: Battery, Range and Performance

The Simple Ultra is powered by a 6.5 kWh battery pack and offers a claimed IDC range of 400 km on a single charge. The scooter has a top speed of 115 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.77 seconds. According to the company, it is positioned as one of the faster electric scooters in its lineup, following the Simple One (5 kWh variant).

Simple Ultra: Features and Hardware

The scooter includes:

• Four-level traction control
• A seven-inch digital display for rider information

These features are part of the standard offering on the model.

Simple Ultra: Price and Availability

The Simple Ultra is priced at Rs 2,34,999 (ex-showroom). It is currently available for purchase through the company’s retail outlets and official website. Test rides are also being offered at select locations.

Network Expansion

Simple Energy operates close to 70 touchpoints across cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi and others. The company plans to expand its presence to additional cities including Nagpur, Ranchi, and Bhubaneswar in the near future.

Existing Product Lineup

The Ultra is the fourth product-related update from Simple Energy in 2026. Earlier this year, the company introduced updated versions of:

• Simple One Gen 2 (IDC range: 236 km and 265 km)
• Simple OneS Gen 2 (IDC range: 190 km)

Elctrik Speaks

The Simple Ultra enters the market with a focus on range and performance figures. Its pricing places it in the higher end of the electric scooter segment, where factors such as real-world range, charging infrastructure, and after-sales support will influence buyer decisions.
