Samarth E-Mobility has developed a full-stack electric vehicle technology platform engineered and manufactured in India. The company said the platform integrates several core EV components designed and built in-house. The platform will power the company’s upcoming electric motorcycle and other future electric mobility products.
Platform Integrates Key EV Components
According to the company, the platform includes multiple components that are typically sourced from different suppliers. These include the battery pack, battery management system (BMS), motor, motor controller, power control module (PCM), DC-DC converter, onboard fast charger, instrument cluster and an operating system.
The onboard charger has a charging capacity of around 1500W and is designed to work with the integrated power electronics and control systems.
Testing and Homologation
Samarth E-Mobility said its battery pack has been tested and homologated by NATRAX, while the in-house developed battery management system has been tested and validated by ICAT.
The company stated that the technology has undergone different validation processes, including over 51,000 km of road testing, 3,400 km of stress testing, and dynamometer-based testing to evaluate performance across different riding conditions.
Research and Development Activities
The technology platform has been developed over the past three years at the company’s research and development facility in Kalol, Gujarat. The company said its engineering team of more than 100 members has worked on the development of several components, including a battery management system and a motor that does not rely on rare earth materials.
Manufacturing Facility and Production Capacity
Samarth E-Mobility operates a manufacturing facility in Chhatral, Gujarat, covering more than 1,50,000 square feet. The facility has a reported monthly production capacity of over 45,000 electric two-wheelers, with an annual capacity of more than 5 lakh units.
Upcoming Electric Motorcycle
The company said the new technology platform will be used in its upcoming electric motorcycle, which it plans to introduce later this year. The platform is also expected to support additional electric two-wheeler products in the future.
Priyank Rakholiya, Co-founder, Samarth E-Mobility, said, “India’s EV transition demands more than assembly-driven solutions. It requires deep engineering, indigenous innovation and products designed ground-up for Indian riders. At Samarth E-Mobility, we have spent the last three years building our entire technology stack in-house from battery systems and software architecture to motor and power electronics. Our endeavour is to enter the electric motorcycle segment, backed by validated technology, patented designs, and a clear vision to deliver reliable, high-performance electric mobility solutions. We will soon launch our brand in the premium aspirational space, reinforcing our commitment to building a truly self-reliant EV ecosystem in India.”
