Royal Enfield has entered the electric two-wheeler segment with the launch of the Flying Flea C6. The motorcycle is part of a new Flying Flea lineup focused on urban mobility. Bookings and test rides began on April 10 in Bengaluru, and deliveries are expected by the end of May.

Flying Flea C6: Pricing and Availability

The Flying Flea C6 is priced at Rs 2.79 lakh. The company is also offering a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, which reduces the initial cost to Rs 1.99 lakh. The rollout will begin in Bengaluru, with availability in other cities expected in phases.

Flying Flea C6: Design and Build

The Flying Flea C6 uses a different design approach compared to other Royal Enfield motorcycles. The design takes reference from the original Flying Flea model from the 1940s, combined with updated elements. It features a teardrop-shaped tank, an aluminium girder fork, and a kerb weight of 124 kg. The motorcycle rides on 19-inch wheels and has a seat height of 823 mm. It is offered in Flea Green and Storm Black colour options.

Flying Flea C6: Battery, Range and Performance

The motorcycle is powered by a 3.91 kWh battery pack. It produces a peak power output of 15.4 kW and 60 Nm of torque, with claimed wheel torque exceeding 400 Nm. The top speed is rated at 115 kmph, and the 0 to 60 kmph acceleration time is around 3.7 seconds. The claimed IDC range stands at 154 km. Power is delivered to the rear wheel via a belt drive system. The bike also includes regenerative braking, with adjustable levels, and offers multiple riding modes including City, Rain, Highway, Sport, and Custom.

Flying Flea C6: Charging

The Flying Flea C6 supports multiple charging options, including rapid, standard, and trickle charging. It can be charged from 20 percent to 80 percent in just over 60 minutes under rapid charging conditions. The motorcycle is compatible with a standard 16A wall socket, allowing for home charging without additional infrastructure.

Flying Flea C6: Features and Technology

The Flying Flea C6 is equipped with a 3.5-inch TFT display that supports WiFi, Bluetooth, and 4G connectivity. It includes features such as navigation, remote tracking, over-the-air updates, and voice assist. Safety and control features include cruise control, lean-sensitive ABS, and traction control. The interface is operated through a rotary dial and joystick.

Market Positioning

The Flying Flea C6 is introduced as part of a new electric sub-brand focused on city use. The company plans to expand this lineup with additional models in the future as part of its broader electric mobility strategy.
