PeakAmp, a company working in battery lifecycle and circularity, has partnered with Chargeup, a FiNeTech platform serving last-mile drivers. Under this arrangement, PeakAmp will act as a technical partner to support battery-related operations linked to Chargeup’s financing business.

Scope of Work

The partnership covers procurement, testing, grading, repurposing, and recycling of battery packs. The objective is to introduce structured processes in handling batteries from deployment to end-of-life stages.

Use of Battery Data Systems

Chargeup’s battery passport system will be used to track key parameters such as state of health (SoH), usage history, and material composition. The data is intended to support decision-making for reuse or recycling, replacing manual evaluation methods.

Lifecycle Monitoring and Compliance

The collaboration includes tracking batteries throughout their lifecycle. This is expected to support traceability and compliance, while also improving monitoring of battery performance over time.

Previous Developments

The partnership builds on Chargeup’s earlier work on battery passport systems and PeakAmp’s ongoing work in battery lifecycle solutions.

Aditya Sudhanshu, Co-Founder & COO, PeakAmp, said, “As battery leasing models scale across India, building a robust framework for lifecycle management becomes critical. This partnership with Chargeup allows us to bring together on-ground execution and technology-led traceability to ensure batteries are efficiently managed across their lifecycle, from deployment to second-life use and eventual recycling. We are excited to collaborate on building a more structured and responsible battery ecosystem.”

Satish Mittal, Co-Founder and Chief Digital Officer at Chargeup, Said, “This partnership unlocks data-backed transparency across the battery lifecycle, empowering on-the-go analysis to pinpoint repurpose and recycle value with precision. We're extending battery life for massive CO2 savings, aligning with India's green mobility goals."
