Olectra Greentech Limited has informed stock exchanges about an update in its dispute with MLR Motors Limited under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
According to the company’s filing, the Arbitral Tribunal passed an award on March 2, 2026, which was received by the company on March 6, 2026. The tribunal had been constituted following an order by the Telangana High Court dated November 22, 2024.
Claim for ₹10 Crore Capital Advance Not Accepted
The dispute relates to a capital advance of ₹10 crore provided by Olectra Greentech to MLR Motors Limited. The amount had been converted into equity shares of MLR Motors.
The tribunal did not accept Olectra’s claim to recover this amount. As part of the award, the tribunal directed Olectra to reimburse ₹5 lakh towards arbitration and legal expenses incurred by MLR Motors.
Company Reviewing Order, Legal Options Under Consideration
Olectra Greentech stated that it is reviewing the detailed order issued by the tribunal. The company said it will evaluate further legal steps, which may include challenging the award before an appropriate court.
