Ola Roadster X+ 4.5 kWh Receives PLI Certification
Ola Electric has received PLI certification for its Roadster X+ 4.5 kWh electric motorcycle under the government’s PLI-Auto scheme. The certification confirms domestic value addition compliance and makes the model eligible for incentives.
Ola Electric has received certification under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Automobile and Auto Components for its Roadster X+ 11 kW 4.5 kWh motorcycle. The certification was issued by the Global Automotive Research Centre (GARC). This makes the Roadster X+ 4.5 kWh the first motorcycle in the company’s Roadster lineup to receive PLI certification.
Domestic Value Addition Compliance
The certification confirms that the Roadster X+ 4.5 kWh meets the required Domestic Value Addition (DVA) criteria under the PLI-Auto scheme. With this approval, the model becomes eligible for incentives under the scheme for all qualifying units.

Position Within Ola Electric Portfolio
The Roadster X+ 4.5 kWh is part of Ola Electric’s entry into the electric motorcycle segment. The certification marks a step in expanding its product portfolio beyond electric scooters.
Update on Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh Variant
Separately, the company has reduced the price of the Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh variant. The model is now priced at â‚ą1,29,999, compared to its earlier price of â‚ą1,89,999.
The price revision follows increased production of the company’s 4680-format battery cells at its manufacturing facility. The revised pricing will apply to limited units during select purchase windows.
