Ola Electric has said that new product launches will resume this year after the company temporarily slowed down rollout activity to focus on operational stability and service improvements. The update was shared during the company’s Q4 FY26 earnings conference call.
During the interaction with analysts and investors, Ola Electric founder and managing director Bhavish Aggarwal said the company had taken a cautious approach toward launching new products while working on improving customer service operations, supply chain management and overall execution.
Delayed Launches Linked to Operational Stabilisation
The company acknowledged that some planned launches were delayed over the last few quarters. According to the management, the decision was taken to prioritise stabilisation of the existing business before expanding the portfolio further.

Aggarwal said Ola Electric chose not to introduce additional products until volumes and operations returned to stable levels. He added that the company now plans to resume launches over the course of this year as demand improves and backend operations stabilise.
The company also highlighted improvements in service turnaround times, warranty costs and supply chain execution during the earnings call.
Product Roadmap Remains Active
Ola Electric indicated that its broader product roadmap continues to remain active despite delays in certain launches.
The company is expected to continue expanding its electric two-wheeler portfolio, including additional scooter models and new motorcycle variants under the Roadster platform. During the call, management said motorcycles already account for around 15 percent of gross orders and that demand in the segment is increasing.
Apart from two-wheelers, Ola Electric is also working on energy storage products through its Shakti and Mahashakti platforms. The company said these products are targeted at retail users, telecom towers, commercial establishments and larger grid-storage applications.
Fleet Mobility and Gig Platform Could Be Part of Upcoming Launches
The company’s comments also suggest that products related to fleet mobility and gig-use applications could form part of future launches. During the Q&A session, analysts referred to the delay of the “Gig” platform, following which Ola Electric stated that product launches had been temporarily paused while the company focused on operational discipline and cost management.
The company did not share timelines for individual products but indicated that launches would restart in phases during the current year.
Focus on Scaling Existing Business
Ola Electric said its near-term priorities remain centred around volume recovery, maintaining margins, reducing operating costs and ramping up battery cell production at its Gigafactory. The company added that demand for electric vehicles has improved in recent months and that it is working on increasing supply to meet orders.
The management also said the company plans to transition more of its vehicles to in-house battery cells during FY27.
Elctrik Speaks
Ola Electric’s latest comments indicate that the company is shifting focus back toward portfolio expansion after spending multiple quarters addressing operational and service-related issues. The restart of product launches could help Ola strengthen its position across electric scooters, motorcycles and energy storage, especially as competition in India’s EV market continues to increase. However, the pace of execution, supply-chain readiness and customer service performance are likely to remain key factors for future growth.
