Oben Electric has rolled out its 10,000th electric motorcycle from its manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. The milestone comes as the company scales up production of its Rorr series, including the Rorr Evo, which has crossed 25,000 bookings. The company said production of the Rorr Evo is underway, with deliveries taking place across India. It is increasing production to meet customer demand.

Manufacturing Capacity and In-House Production

Oben Electric operates a 3.5-acre manufacturing facility in Bengaluru with an annual production capacity of 1 lakh electric motorcycles. The company manufactures several components in-house, including lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, motors, vehicle control units (VCUs), chargers and software. The facility is used for the development and production of its electric motorcycles.

Retail Network Expansion

Oben Electric has more than 150 showrooms and service centres across over 90 cities in 18 states. The company plans to open 200 additional exclusive showrooms by the end of the 2026-27 financial year (FY27). The expansion is aimed at increasing its retail presence and providing sales and after-sales support in more locations.

Electric Motorcycles and India's Two-Wheeler Market

Motorcycles account for nearly 65% of India's annual two-wheeler sales, according to the company's statement. The segment represents a significant share of the country's two-wheeler market as manufacturers expand their electric vehicle portfolios. Oben Electric's Rorr series is part of its electric motorcycle lineup, with the Rorr Evo forming a part of its current production and delivery operations.
