Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. announced that its total domestic and international passenger vehicle sales stood at 63,331 units in February 2026 reflecting a year-on-year (Y-o-Y) growth of 35 percent when compared to 46,811 units sold in February 2025.


Domestic and International Sales Breakdown

  1. Passenger Vehicle Domestic Sales: 62,329 units were sold domestically in February 2026 reflecting a Y-o-Y growth of 34 percent when compared to 46,435 units sold in February 2025.
  2. Passenger Vehicle International Business (IB): 1,002 units were exported in February 2026 reflecting a Y-o-Y growth of 167 percent when compared to up from 376 units shipped in February 2025.


Electric Vehicle Sales

Electric vehicle sales across domestic and international markets reached 8,385 units in February 2026 reflecting a Y-o-Y growth of 57 percent when compared to 5,343 units sold in February 2025.


Market Position and Share

During February 2026, Tata Motors ranked second in overall wholesale volumes in the passenger vehicle segment.

According to Vahan registration data, the company also ranked second in retail registrations for the month. The company reported a wholesale market share of 15 percent and a Vahan market share of 14.7 percent in February 2026.


Product Performance Update

  1. Tata Nexon was reported as the highest-selling car in India in February 2026. It also ranked as the top-selling SUV during the month.
  2. Tata Punch ranked among the top three best-selling cars in the country and was the second highest-selling SUV in February 2026.

In January 2026, Tata Motors total sales stood at 71,066 units reflecting a Y-o-Y increase of 47.1 percent when compared to 48,316 units sold in January 2025.
