Motovolt Mobility has entered into a partnership with Cargo Players, a third-party logistics (3PL) company operating electric vehicle fleets for last-mile delivery services. Under the agreement, Cargo Players will deploy Motovolt's MVS7 electric vehicles across its delivery operations in Delhi-NCR and Pune. The vehicles are integrated with battery-swapping technology provided by Indofast Energy.
Focus on Hyperlocal and Quick Commerce Deliveries
The deployment is aimed at supporting delivery operations linked to hyperlocal commerce and quick commerce platforms. The MVS7 electric vehicles will be used by delivery partners handling frequent urban deliveries across these markets. According to the companies, the use of battery-swapping technology is intended to reduce vehicle downtime associated with charging and help maintain operational continuity during delivery shifts.

Growing Demand for Electric Last-Mile Mobility
The partnership comes at a time when logistics companies are increasingly exploring electric mobility solutions for last-mile transportation. As quick commerce services expand across Indian cities, fleet operators are looking for alternatives that can support high-utilisation delivery operations while reducing dependence on conventional fuel-powered vehicles.
The collaboration is expected to contribute to the adoption of electric vehicles within the urban delivery ecosystem, particularly among gig workers engaged in on-demand delivery services.
Tushar Choudhary, Founder & CEO of Motovolt Mobility, said, "We are thrilled to partner with Cargo Players in their mission to transform last-mile logistics through clean mobility. The gig economy is the backbone of India's quick commerce revolution, and our MVS7 is purpose-built to empower these delivery partners with a vehicle that is economical and durable, in equal measure. This collaboration reflects our shared vision of building a sustainable logistics ecosystem where performance meets purpose, making electric vehicles accessible to everyone in India. We look forward to scaling this partnership and enabling more gig workers to embrace electric mobility with confidence."
Ratanbhushan Gupta, Co-Founder of Cargo Players, said, “At Cargo Players, our mission has always been to build a 3PL infrastructure that is not only operationally superior but also inherently responsible. Partnering with Motovolt brings us meaningfully closer to that goal. The MVS7, powered by Indofast’s battery-swapping network, enables our delivery partners to operate without range anxiety — completing more runs, earning more, and doing so with zero tailpipe emissions. Every kilometre our riders cover on an electric vehicle is a step toward a carbon-neutral logistics ecosystem, and that purpose matters deeply to us. Beyond the environmental impact, this partnership is fundamentally about our riders — ensuring they have access to dependable, low-cost-of-ownership vehicles that protect their livelihoods and reduce the financial burden of daily operations. We are proud to partner with Motovolt in shaping a cleaner, more equitable future for last-mile delivery in India.”
Elctrik Speaks
The partnership highlights the increasing role of electric vehicles in India's last-mile logistics segment. With quick commerce platforms continuing to expand, fleet operators are evaluating solutions such as battery swapping to improve vehicle utilisation and minimise operational interruptions. Similar collaborations between EV manufacturers, fleet operators, and battery-swapping providers are becoming more common as the logistics sector works towards electrification.
