Mini India has opened pre-bookings for the Cooper S 1965 Victory Edition in the Indian market. The announcement was made in February 2026. The edition marks 60 years since the brand’s 1965 win at the Monte Carlo Rally.

The special version is based on the Cooper S with the JCW Pack and will be produced at the Oxford plant in the UK. India will receive the petrol-powered Cooper S variant under this edition.

Exterior Design and Edition Details

The Cooper S 1965 Victory Edition is finished in Chili Red with a white stripe running from the bonnet to the rear. The doors carry the number ‘52’, referencing the race car driven by Timo Makinen and co-driven by Paul Easter during the 1965 rally.

A ‘1965’ badge is placed on the C-pillar to mark the anniversary. The car also gets 18-inch alloy wheels with floating hub caps and a panoramic roof as standard. JCW-related elements and illuminated door sills with ‘1965’ lettering are included. A commemorative plaque is placed inside the cabin.

Interior and Features

The cabin features black synthetic leather seats with red stitching. Recycled polyester and knitted materials are used in several interior areas. The steering wheel carries a ‘1965’ marking, and the key cap displays the rally number.

The dashboard includes a circular OLED touchscreen running Mini Operating System 9. Features include a head-up display, drive modes such as Go-Kart and Green, a 360-degree camera, parking assistant, Harman Kardon sound system, heated sports seats and wireless charging.

Engine and Performance

The Cooper S 1965 Victory Edition is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 204bhp and 300Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.6 seconds.
