Mercedes-Benz India launched the V-Class Extra Long Wheelbase (LWB) in the country at an introductory price of Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom, all-India). The model is available in two variants: V300 (petrol) and V300d (diesel). Bookings have opened with a token amount of Rs 5 lakh. Deliveries are expected to start later this month.


Mercedes-Benz V-Class Extra LWB: Powertrain Options

For the first time in India, the V-Class is being offered with a petrol engine alongside the diesel option.

The V300 petrol variant features a 2.0-litre petrol engine combined with a hybrid system. The petrol engine produces 228 bhp and 370 Nm of torque, while the hybrid system contributes an additional 20 bhp and 200 Nm of torque.

The V300d diesel variant is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine delivering 233 bhp and 500 Nm of torque.

Both versions are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The new V-Class complies with Bharat Stage VI equivalent emission norms.


Mercedes-Benz V-Class Extra LWB: Dimensions and Seating Layout

The V-Class is introduced exclusively in the Extra Long Wheelbase configuration. It measures 5,370 mm in length, 1,928 mm in width and 1,880 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,430 mm.

The vehicle comes with a six-seat configuration. The second-row individual seats feature ventilation, massage function, calf support and wireless charging. The third row also includes ventilated seats, along with three-point seatbelts and Isofix child seat mounts.

The V-Class comes with the AMG Line package as standard, including a star-pattern grille and 18-inch alloy wheels.

It is equipped with Multibeam LED headlamps featuring 84 individually controlled LEDs per module.


Inside, the cabin features Lugano leather upholstery in Beige or Black, 64-colour ambient lighting and wood-look trim. The infotainment system includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with voice control support. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity are offered.


The vehicle is also fitted with a 640W, 15-speaker Burmester sound system with Dolby Atmos support.

Additional features include electrically operated sliding doors on both sides, an electrically operated split tailgate, automatic climate control, heat-insulating glass with sunblinds and multiple comfort modes.


Mercedes-Benz V-Class Extra LWB: Safety and Driver Assistance

The V-Class is equipped with seven airbags, including window airbags extending from the A to D pillar.

Driver assistance systems include Active Distance Assist Distronic, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Attention Assist and a parking package with a 360-degree camera and 12 ultrasonic sensors.
