Mercedes-Benz electric C-Class will make its global debut on April 20, 2026. The model is built on a dedicated electric platform, which allows for a revised cabin layout with increased interior space. A large panoramic glass roof is part of the design, contributing to a more open cabin environment. The interior layout combines physical elements with digital interfaces, integrating the dashboard and centre console into a single structure.

Materials and cabin elements

The cabin includes multiple material options such as leather, wood trims, and carbon fibre finishes. Standard upholstery uses a material described as “Softtorino,” while higher variants include Nappa leather seats with patterned stitching. Metal components such as air vents, speaker covers, and seat controls are designed with a uniform finish. The sound system, developed with Burmester, includes metal speaker grilles in higher trims. A range of interior colours is offered, including black, brown, and beige tones.

Vegan interior option

The Mercedes electric C-Class includes an optional vegan interior package certified by The Vegan Society. This package replaces traditional materials across seats, roof lining, door panels, and carpeting. This follows a similar approach first introduced in the GLC model line.

The front seats are electrically adjustable and include memory settings. Additional features include lumbar support, seat ventilation, and a massage function. These are designed to support longer driving durations. The system also includes seat-based motion adjustments aimed at reducing fatigue during travel.

The cabin integrates the latest version of the MBUX system, including options such as the Hyperscreen and Superscreen. These extend across the dashboard and provide driver information and passenger display functions. The display system uses a matrix backlight setup with multiple brightness zones for visibility and customisation.

Ambient lighting and personalisation

Ambient lighting is integrated across the dashboard, doors, and roof. The system offers multiple lighting themes that can be adjusted based on user preference. An optional feature includes a roof lighting setup with multiple small light points arranged to simulate a star-like pattern.

In-cabin wellness features

Mercedes-Benz electric C-Class also gets the ENERGIZING COMFORT system, which combines lighting, sound, and seat functions. These settings are designed to adjust the cabin environment during driving. The system also includes coordinated display animations and audio output through the in-car sound system.

Climate control and efficiency

The electric C-Class uses a multi-source heat pump for cabin temperature management. According to the company, the system can heat the cabin faster compared to internal combustion models under low-temperature conditions. The climate system is designed to regulate temperature and humidity levels automatically based on cabin conditions.

Noise reduction measures

The vehicle includes structural and material changes aimed at reducing cabin noise. These include insulation layers, revised mounting systems, and laminated glass for the front windows.

These updates are intended to limit external noise and vibration inside the cabin.
