Maruti Suzuki India Limited has commenced commercial production at the second manufacturing plant at its Kharkhoda facility in Haryana. The newly operational plant has an annual production capacity of 2.5 lakh units.
With the addition of the second line, the total annual production capacity at the Kharkhoda facility has increased to 5 lakh units.
Total Installed Capacity Reaches 26.5 Lakh Units
Following the latest expansion, Maruti Suzuki’s total installed annual production capacity across its manufacturing facilities in Gurugram, Manesar, Kharkhoda and Hansalpur has reached 26.5 lakh units.
The company had earlier outlined plans to add 5 lakh units of production capacity during FY2026-27. The second Kharkhoda plant forms part of this expansion plan.
Kharkhoda Facility Planned for 10 Lakh Units Annually
Maruti Suzuki started production at the first plant at the Kharkhoda site in February 2025 with a capacity of 2.5 lakh units per year. Once all planned phases are operational, the facility is expected to have a total annual production capacity of 10 lakh vehicles.
The company currently manufactures the Brezza compact SUV and the Victoris mid-size SUV at the Kharkhoda facility.
Production Capacity Across Manufacturing Plants
Maruti Suzuki’s current annual production capacity distribution includes:
- Gurugram: 5 lakh units
- Manesar: 9 lakh units
- Hansalpur: 7.5 lakh units
- Kharkhoda: 5 lakh units
