Maruti Suzuki India Limited (Maruti Suzuki) has announced that the Brezza has completed 10 years in India. Launched in 2016, the model entered the emerging compact SUV category and has since remained a consistent performer in domestic sales charts.


According to the company, the Brezza has featured among India’s top 10 bestselling passenger vehicles for a decade. The model is positioned in the compact SUV segment, which currently contributes 31% to the overall passenger vehicle industry in India.


Contribution to Compact SUV Growth

Since its introduction, the Brezza has been one of the volume contributors in the compact SUV category. Over the years, the segment has grown into one of the largest in the Indian passenger vehicle market, with multiple manufacturers introducing competing products.


Product Evolution and Features

The Brezza has undergone two generations since launch. The current version is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine equipped with Progressive Smart Hybrid Technology.

Key features in the latest generation include:

  1. 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters
  2. 360-degree camera
  3. Electric sunroof
  4. Head-Up Display
  5. Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system with surround sound
  6. Six airbags
  7. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist (standard)

Maruti Suzuki continues to offer the Brezza as part of its SUV portfolio in India, where compact SUVs remain a significant share of total vehicle sales.
