The partnerships are aimed at enabling compatibility between electric vehicles and battery-swapping infrastructure. The network is being used across multiple segments including personal mobility, delivery services, logistics and shared mobility.
Infrastructure Integrations
The company added battery-swapping stations at locations such as metro systems, railway networks and commercial hubs. These include associations with Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation, Indian Railways, BESCOM and Nexus Select Malls. These installations are intended to support access to battery-swapping services in areas with high commuter movement.
Operational Model and Usage
Indofast Energy continues to deploy a battery-swapping model that allows users to replace discharged batteries with charged units. The company stated that this system is being used by fleet operators and delivery workers to reduce downtime compared to conventional charging.
Outlook
The company said it plans to expand its network to 3,500 stations and support over 2.32 lakh electric vehicles by FY27. The expansion is expected to include additional cities and integration with more OEMs.
