Honda has revealed its Super-ONE compact EV for the Japanese market, with pre-orders set to begin on April 16 and sales starting in late May. The model is also expected to enter the Indian market in 2027, positioning it within the small electric vehicle segment that continues to see gradual expansion.
Honda Super-ONE EV: Platform, Weight and Range
The Super-ONE is built on a modified version of Honda’s N Series platform. The structure includes a wider track and a battery placed under the floor to lower the centre of gravity.
The vehicle has a kerb weight of 1,090 kg and delivers a claimed range of 274 km under the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Cycle (WLTC). The lightweight construction contributes to efficiency and urban usability.
Honda Super-ONE EV: Performance and Driving System
The EV features a driving mode called “BOOST Mode,” which increases output from 47 kW to 70 kW. It also includes a simulated seven-speed transmission and an active sound system that mimics engine noise. Drivers can use paddle shifters to control simulated gear changes. The system also changes display layouts and cabin lighting when the mode is activated.

The exterior design includes wide fenders and aerodynamic elements such as air ducts. The model will be offered in five colours, including a new shade developed specifically for this vehicle. Inside, the layout focuses on driver visibility with a horizontal dashboard design. The car gets sport seats and a digital instrument cluster that includes battery temperature, power usage and a simulated tachometer.

The Super-ONE comes equipped with an eight-speaker sound system developed with Bose. The system adjusts sound levels based on vehicle speed and includes a subwoofer in the cargo area.
Honda Super-ONE EV: Display and Market Rollout
The vehicle is being showcased at the Automobile Council 2026 event at Makuhari Messe in Japan ahead of its market launch. Bookings will be handled through Honda dealerships across the country.
