BMW 7 Series facelift has been unveiled for global markets. The updated flagship sedan is likely to be introduced in India later in 2026 or in early 2027. The model continues to serve as the brand’s top offering, incorporating new technologies and design updates.
BMW 7 Series Facelift: Design Updates
The exterior receives changes including a revised front fascia with an illuminated kidney grille and updated headlamp elements. The side profile remains largely unchanged with smooth body lines, while the rear gets new lighting elements. Buyers will have the option to choose M Sport and M Sport Pro variants. Wheel sizes range from 20-inch to 22-inch options, along with multiple paint finishes.

The cabin layout focuses on a simplified design with the use of materials such as leather, wood, metal, and glass.

The updated sedan will be available with multiple powertrain options, including:
- Mild-hybrid petrol and diesel engines
- Plug-in hybrid variants
- Fully electric versions
The electric variant uses sixth-generation eDrive technology with cylindrical battery cells and is claimed to offer a WLTP range of over 720 km. Additional systems include adaptive recuperation, route-based energy management, and support for network-based charging.
BMW 7 Series Facelift: Chassis and Driver Assistance
The model comes with adaptive two-axle air suspension as standard. Optional features include Integral Active Steering and advanced chassis control systems. Driver assistance functions include partially automated driving, hands-free highway driving at speeds up to 130 kmph, and navigation-assisted driving in urban conditions.
Production and India Launch Timeline
Production will take place at BMW’s Dingolfing plant in Germany. Global rollout is scheduled to begin from July 2026. The India launch is expected later in 2026 or early 2027. The current version of the 7 Series is priced at around Rs 1.83 crore (ex-showroom) and is available in 740d M Sport and 740i M Sport variants.
