Elctrik Speaks
Hyundai’s announcement indicates a stronger focus on SUVs and electrification in the Indian market. The planned dedicated EV could become an important product for the company’s compliance strategy under upcoming CAFÉ 3 norms, while also helping Hyundai expand its presence in the mass-market EV segment. The addition of a new ICE SUV suggests Hyundai continues to see demand potential in conventional fuel-powered SUVs alongside its EV plans.
