Greaves Electric Mobility announced the appointment of Samarpita Banerjee as Chief Human Resources Officer. She will be responsible for overseeing the company’s human resources strategy and administrative functions.
In her new role, Banerjee will focus on developing people practices to support organisational requirements across manufacturing units, technology teams, and sales operations. She will report to Vikas Singh, Managing Director of the company.
Professional Background
Before joining Greaves Electric Mobility, Banerjee served as Director of Human Resources at Carrier Corporation. In that role, she handled HR strategy for digital, engineering, business services and global technology functions, including support for the APAC technology organisation.
Her previous roles include senior human resources positions at Wipro, Diageo, Solera and Novozymes. Her experience spans multiple sectors, including information technology, automotive, HVAC and consumer products. Education and Role Location Banerjee holds an MBA in Human Resources and a master’s degree in Econometrics. She will be based at the company’s headquarters in Bengaluru.

The appointment comes as Greaves Electric Mobility continues to expand its operations across electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler segments. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad, Noida and Ranipet and has a pan-India dealership network.
Greaves Electric Mobility Limited is the electric mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Limited. The company has been involved in the design and manufacturing of electric vehicles for over 17 years and operates across electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler segments in India.
Recently, Ampere the Electric two-wheeler arm of Greaves Electric Mobility launched Magnus G Max electric scooter in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 94,999. The electric scooter houses a 3 kWh Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery pack, the ev maker claims that the Magnus G Max offers a certified range of up to 142 km and a real world range of over 100 km on a single charge. The scooter has a claimed top speed of up to 65 kmph.
