Ferrari Luce EV Unveiled in India With 1,050 PS Power and 530 km Range
Ferrari has unveiled the Luce in India, its first all-electric car. It gets four electric motors, a 112 kWh battery pack, a claimed WLTP range of 530 km and a 0-100 kmph acceleration time of 2.5 seconds.

Ferrari Luce EV
Ferrari has unveiled the Luce EV in India. The model marks the Italian automaker’s entry into the all-electric car segment. Unlike the brand’s conventional two-door sports cars, the Luce features four doors, seating for four occupants and an all-electric powertrain.
The car has been designed in collaboration with Jony Ive, former Chief Design Officer at Apple. Its exterior and interior introduce a different design approach for Ferrari, with an emphasis on aerodynamics and a mix of digital displays and physical controls.

Ferrari Luce: Exterior Design
The Ferrari Luce features a four-door body with a sloping roofline. Its front section gets a curved bonnet with a central air vent, slim LED headlamps and daytime running lights integrated into a gloss-black panel.
The side profile includes gloss-black inserts on the front doors and a staggered wheel setup, with 23-inch wheels at the front and 24-inch wheels at the rear.
At the rear, the car gets round LED tail lamps. The overall body shape differs from Ferrari’s existing sports cars, with the design focused on reducing aerodynamic drag.
Ferrari Luce: Interior and Features
The cabin features an aluminium panel extending across the dashboard, along with a three-spoke steering wheel with silver-finished elements. The digital instrument cluster uses graphics designed to resemble analogue gauges.
The central touchscreen can be tilted towards either the driver or the front passenger. The rear cabin includes leather upholstery, a touchscreen below the rear air-conditioning vents and rear-hinged doors.
Equipment listed for the Luce includes a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 21-speaker sound system and multi-zone climate control.
Safety features include multiple airbags, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, hill-hold assist, hill-descent control, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Ferrari Luce: Battery, Range and Performance
The Ferrari Luce uses a 112 kWh battery pack and four electric motors, with one motor assigned to each wheel. The combined output is rated at 1,050 PS and 990 Nm of torque.
The Ferrari Luce is powered by a 112 kWh battery pack paired with four electric motors, one for each wheel. The powertrain produces a combined output of 1,050 PS and 990 Nm of torque. Ferrari claims a WLTP range of 530 km, while the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 310 kmph. The electric car supports DC fast charging at up to 350 kW. It also gets rear-wheel steering, active suspension and active torque vectoring to manage handling and power delivery.
The Luce also features rear-wheel steering, active suspension and active torque vectoring. These systems are designed to manage vehicle movement and distribute torque to improve handling.
Its 350 kW DC fast-charging capability allows it to use compatible high-power charging stations. Actual charging times will depend on factors such as the charger, battery temperature and state of charge.
Ferrari Luce: Expected Price and Rivals
Ferrari has not announced the Luce’s official price for India. Its estimated price is around Rs 8.5 crore, ex-showroom, before optional equipment. This figure is an estimate and not an official price announced by the company.
The Luce does not have a direct rival based on its combination of performance, four-door layout and electric powertrain. The Porsche Taycan Turbo is one potential alternative in the electric performance car segment, while the Tesla Roadster could be another model to consider once its market availability and specifications are confirmed.
Elctrik Speaks
The Ferrari Luce marks a change in the company’s powertrain strategy, bringing an all-electric model into a portfolio traditionally associated with combustion engines. Its four-motor setup, 1,050 PS output and 530 km claimed WLTP range place performance and electric propulsion at the centre of the model.
Its market positioning in India will depend on the final price, customer demand and the availability of charging infrastructure capable of supporting its 350 kW charging capacity. Ferrari has yet to confirm the car’s official Indian pricing.
