EV charging network Rebolt has set up electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the office and residential campuses of the Reserve Bank of India in Bengaluru.
According to information shared by the company, the installations include more than 18 EV charging points located across staff residential quarters and the main office premises of the central bank in the city. The deployment is intended to provide charging access for employees who use electric two-wheelers and four-wheelers. The installation was carried out in Bengaluru on 11 March 2026.
Chargers Installed in Residential and Workplace Areas
The charging stations have been placed in both residential areas and office premises used by RBI staff. The setup is intended to allow employees to charge their vehicles at locations where they live and work.
The chargers installed under the project support different types of electric vehicles commonly used in urban areas, including electric scooters, motorcycles and cars.
Installation and Operations Managed by Rebolt
Rebolt handled the supply and installation of the charging equipment as part of the project. The company will also manage the ongoing operations, including service, maintenance and monitoring of the charging stations.
The chargers are connected to Rebolt’s IoT-based system, which allows users to locate stations, track charging sessions and complete payments through the company’s mobile application.
Part of Wider EV Charging Expansion
Rebolt said it has deployed EV charging stations at multiple residential and hospitality locations across South India. The company reports operating a network of more than 700 EV chargers across over 230 locations.
These installations include charging points in apartment complexes as well as hotels and resorts in several tourist destinations.
The deployment at RBI campuses adds to EV charging infrastructure being set up by organisations and institutions as electric vehicle adoption increases in India.
Sunil Prabhakar, Co-Founder, Rebolt, stated about the RBI partnership, "Proactive efforts from premier government institutions such as the RBI play a very important role in accelerating India’s transition to sustainable mobility. We are very proud to partner with RBI, Bengaluru in its endeavour and bring reliable EV charging infrastructure to all its residential and office facilities in the city."
