The multi-utility vehicle (MUV) segment in India recorded total sales of 42,482 units in February 2026, compared to 34,556 units in February 2025, reflecting a 22.9% year-on-year (YoY) increase, according to data sourced from Autopunditz.


Maruti Suzuki Ertiga ranked as the highest-selling MUV in Feb 2026, with 17,807 units reflecting a Year-on-Year growth of 19.8 percent when compared to 14,868 units sold in the same period last year.


Toyota secured the second position with the combined sales of Innova Hycross and Innova Crysta, which stood at 8,703 units in February 2026 reflecting a Year-on-Year growth of 3 percent when compared to 8,449 units in February 2025.


At third position, Kia recorded 6,815 units for the combined Carens and Clavis reflecting a year-on-Year growth of 28.1 percent when compared to 5,318 units sold in February 2025.


At fourth position, Maruti Suzuki XL6 reported sales of 3,633 units reflecting a Y-o-Y growth of 93.5 percent when compared to 1,878 units sold in the same month last year. Next is Toyota Rumion recorded 2,817 units in February 2026 reflecting a Y-o-Y growth of 34.2 percent when compared to 2,099 units sold in February 2025.


Renault’s Triber posted sales of 2,419 units, compared to 1,545 units in February 2025, reflecting a 56.6 percent increase. The Toyota Vellfire recorded 145 units in February 2026, up from 19 units in February 2025, resulting in a 663.2 percent Y-o-Y increase. Maruti Suzuki’s Invicto reported 143 units, compared to 380 units in February 2025, reflecting a 62.4 percent Y-o-Y decline.
