EKA Mobility, in consortium with GreenCell Mobility, has secured a Letter of Award (LOA) for the supply and deployment of 915 electric buses in Hyderabad. The project is part of the Government of India’s PM E-DRIVE scheme, which is being implemented through Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL).

Bus Deployment Plan

The order includes a mix of bus sizes to support different urban transport needs:

  1. 100 units of 9-meter buses
  2. 815 units of 12-meter standard floor non-AC buses

These buses will be deployed for city operations and are intended to support public transport requirements.

Scheme Overview

The PM E-DRIVE scheme is a central government initiative focused on increasing the adoption of electric vehicles. It also aims to support domestic manufacturing and address urban air pollution through electrification of transport.

Previous Projects Under CESL Programs

This award follows earlier projects secured by EKA Mobility under CESL-led initiatives such as PM E-Bus Seva. These projects involve deployment of electric buses across multiple states, including Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Puducherry, and Meghalaya.
