Electric mobility company CollarEV has introduced a new electric two-wheeler named “Moon”, developed for the business-to-business delivery and logistics segment. The vehicle has been designed for use by delivery services, fleet operators, and logistics companies that require electric mobility for last-mile transportation.

The launch comes at a time when India’s electric two-wheeler segment is expanding alongside the larger two-wheeler market.

Market Context

India’s two-wheeler market recorded more than 20 million units in sales in 2025. Electric two-wheelers accounted for around 1.4 million units during the same period.

While many electric scooters are targeted at personal mobility, vehicles built specifically for commercial delivery operations remain limited. Companies in the logistics and delivery sector are increasingly exploring electric vehicles to reduce operating costs and emissions.

Battery and Range

The Moon electric two-wheeler uses a 51.2 V, 45 Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack with a capacity of 2.3 kWh. The company states that the vehicle can travel around 135 km on a single charge under standard conditions.

According to CollarEV, the battery supports fast charging, allowing the vehicle to reach 80% charge in about two hours, while a full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Motor and Performance

The vehicle is equipped with a BLDC hub motor that produces 1500 W rated power and 2200 W peak power. It has a top speed of about 50 km/h.

The electric two-wheeler delivers around 95 Nm torque at the wheel and is designed to carry a payload of up to 150 kg. It also includes dual disc brakes and 12-inch wheels.

Fleet Monitoring Features

The vehicle includes a TFT display with integrated telematics. These features enable fleet operators to track vehicle location and monitor usage data.

Other features include keyless start and stop functionality. The vehicle platform also supports multiple attachment options, allowing businesses to configure the vehicle for different delivery or logistics requirements.

Battery Lifecycle and Monitoring

The LFP battery pack is designed to support more than 1,000 charging cycles. CollarEV states that the vehicle includes IoT-based monitoring systems that track battery health and performance.

The company is also testing the use of supercapacitor-assisted battery systems to improve charging time and battery durability.

Target Users and Rollout Plan

The Moon electric two-wheeler is aimed at delivery companies, logistics aggregators, fleet operators, and delivery personnel. It may also be used for services such as milk distribution, vegetable delivery, small retail logistics, and agricultural supply transport in rural areas.

CollarEV plans to begin deployment in Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities along with rural and semi-urban markets where electric mobility adoption is increasing.

Pricing and Availability

The company expects the vehicle to be priced between Rs 79,999 and Rs 89,999. Pre-bookings are available through the company’s official website.

Tikendra Yadav from CollarEV said, “Much of the current B2B electric two-wheeler market in India is dominated by low-cost imported vehicles that often face challenges in durability and after-sales reliability. With our new EV for the B2B segment, our goal is to address this gap by developing a purpose-built electric vehicle with a minimalist yet robust structural design that reduces maintenance requirements while ensuring long-term performance. The fully metal chassis and body structure make it particularly suited for demanding commercial and fleet operations. It reflects our commitment to building reliable electric mobility solutions for businesses, and as part of our broader vision, we are also preparing to launch this B2C electric scooter between May and June to serve the growing consumer EV market which will be first in segment.”
