Charge_iN by Mahindra and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) announced a partnership to set up electric vehicle charging stations at HPCL fuel outlets across the country.
Use of HPCL Network
Under this agreement, Charge_iN by Mahindra will use HPCL’s retail network to expand EV charging infrastructure. HPCL operates more than 24,400 fuel stations across India and also runs over 5,400 EV charging stations under the HP e-Charge network.
Charging Infrastructure Details
The planned charging stations will include 180 kW dual gun chargers intended for electric four-wheelers. These chargers are expected to support faster charging compared to standard public charging points.
Focus on EV Ecosystem
The collaboration is part of ongoing efforts to expand public EV charging infrastructure in India. The use of existing fuel station locations is expected to support wider access to charging facilities.

The agreement comes as India continues to expand its electric vehicle ecosystem, with a focus on improving charging availability and supporting the shift towards electric mobility.
