BYD India has opened bookings for the Sealion 7 First Anniversary Edition. Customers can book the vehicle by paying Rs 70,000 at dealerships across India. The model is available in two variants, with the Premium variant priced at Rs 49.40 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Performance variant priced at Rs 54.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

Limited Benefits for Early Customers

The company has announced certain benefits for the first 1,100 customers. These include a complimentary 11 kW home charger with installation and two years of free service and maintenance. These offers are applicable on bookings made until April 30, 2026.

The model is equipped with a low voltage battery using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology, which comes with a warranty of 8 years or 150,000 km. The high voltage battery is covered under a standard warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km.

Interior Update

The First Anniversary Edition introduces a Tahiti Blue interior theme. Apart from this change, the overall design and feature set remain the same as the standard Sealion 7.

Powertrain, Range and Performance

The BYD Sealion 7 is powered by an 82.56 kWh battery pack and is offered in Premium and Performance variants. The Performance variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and has a claimed range of 542 km (NEDC). The Premium variant achieves the same acceleration in 6.7 seconds and offers a range of 567 km (NEDC).

Features and Equipment

The SUV comes with features such as a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, Nappa leather seats, a panoramic glass roof, and 128-colour ambient lighting. It also includes a 12-speaker audio system, wireless phone charging, and Vehicle-to-Load (VTOL) functionality.

Sales Performance

Since its introduction in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the Sealion 7 has recorded sales of over 2,500 units. The model is positioned in the premium electric SUV segment.
