EV charging network operators Bolt.Earth and ChargeZone announced a partnership to expand charging accessibility for electric vehicle users across India.

Under the collaboration, EV drivers will be able to locate, access, and pay for charging services available on both networks through a single application. The integration is focused on improving access to public fast-charging infrastructure for four-wheelers.

Access to Over 1,500 Fast-Charging Locations

The combined network will provide access to more than 1,500 fast-charging locations across the country. The companies said the move is intended to reduce the need for EV users to switch between multiple applications while searching for charging stations.

The partnership will also support integrated payments and provide real-time information related to charger availability and charging sessions.

Expanding Charging Availability Across India

ChargeZone operates a public fast-charging network serving passenger and commercial electric vehicles. Its charging infrastructure is present across highways, intercity routes, and urban locations.

Bolt.Earth operates a charging platform catering to electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers. The company states that its charging network spans more than 2,000 cities across India and includes both standard and fast-charging solutions.

Focus on Interoperability

The partnership is aimed at improving interoperability between charging networks, allowing EV users to access a larger pool of charging stations through a unified interface. The companies expect the integration to simplify the charging process and improve network accessibility for EV owners.

Kartikey Hariyani, Founder & CEO, ChargeZone, said, “India's EV transition is happening across every mobility segment simultaneously - personal, commercial, and fleet. ChargeZone has built its fast-charging backbone to serve that full spectrum, and interoperability is the layer that makes it function at national scale. Our integration with Bolt.Earth advances exactly that, bringing fast-charging infrastructure within reach of every EV user, whether navigating daily urban routes or covering long-distance highway corridors. By combining ChargeZone's extensive charging network with Bolt.Earth's platform, we're creating seamless access for EV drivers.”

Jyotiranjan Harichandan, Founder of Bolt.Earth, said, “Interoperability is the future of EV charging in India. This partnership marks a major step toward that vision. By bringing together our universal network with ChargeZone’s robust, fast-charging infrastructure, we’re delivering unmatched accessibility and convenience to EV users. This integration aims to ease range anxiety and eliminate the need for multiple apps to find public chargers. By unifying networks that may individually have limited station density, it offers users a single, real-time view of available charging points making EV charging more seamless, reliable, and user-friendly.”

Elctrik Speaks

Interoperability continues to be a key focus area for India's EV charging ecosystem. As public charging infrastructure expands, partnerships between charging network operators can help improve charger utilization and reduce fragmentation for EV users. Similar collaborations could play an important role in creating a more connected charging network across the country.
