Bentley Motors has confirmed that its first fully electric vehicle will be revealed in 2026. The announcement was made alongside the company’s fourth Sustainability Report, published in 2026.

Emissions and Operations

The company reported its lowest fleet carbon dioxide emissions in 2025. It also stated that operations at its Crewe facility remained carbon neutral during the same period.

Strategy Update: Beyond100+

Bentley has revised its Beyond100+ strategy to include more flexibility in its transition to electrification. The company will continue to offer internal combustion engine (ICE) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models alongside battery electric vehicles (BEVs). It has reiterated its target to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

Work on Alternative Solutions

Along with its electric vehicle plans, Bentley is working on other areas such as direct air capture, sustainable aviation fuel logistics and eFuels. The report also mentions increased use of lifecycle analysis in product development and supplier selection.

Workforce and Community Initiatives

The report includes updates on employee-related programmes and community work. In 2025, Bentley expanded training related to carbon literacy, invested in skills linked to electrification, and continued work on diversity and inclusion.

 Community initiatives were carried out through the Advancing Life Chances programme and the Bentley Foundation, with activities in areas such as education and culture.

Bentley’s update indicates a phased approach to electrification, with multiple powertrain options continuing in the near term. The confirmation of a 2026 reveal for its first electric vehicle places the company among other luxury manufacturers preparing to introduce battery electric models while maintaining existing offerings during the transition.
