Spiro has announced the appointment of Anant Badjatya as its Group Chief Executive Officer. The leadership change comes after the company secured a $215 million funding round aimed at supporting its electric mobility operations across Africa.

Badjatya brings over two decades of experience across the electric mobility, energy, and industrial sectors, with leadership roles spanning India, the Middle East, and Africa.

Experience in Battery Swapping and Mobility Operations

Expansion Plans After Funding Raise

The appointment follows Spiro's recent $215 million financing round, which the company plans to use to support the growth of its electric mobility ecosystem across Africa. The company currently operates in multiple African markets and is involved in areas such as electric two-wheelers, battery-swapping infrastructure, and mobility services.
