India’s car market is set to see several new launches in October 2026, with manufacturers preparing to introduce electric vehicles, SUVs and sedans. The launch calendar includes models from Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Audi and Renault, with new products spanning luxury and mass-market segments. Here are five cars expected to launch in India during the month, along with their key specifications and features.

1. Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Facelift - October 5

Mercedes-Benz is scheduled to launch the facelifted Mercedes-Maybach S-Class in India on October 5, 2026. The updated model gets a redesigned grille with illumination, revised headlamps and star-shaped daytime running lights. The cabin features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch display for the front passenger. Internationally, the S 580 variant uses a 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine producing 537 hp and 750 Nm of torque. The same powertrain could be offered in India, although local specifications are yet to be confirmed.

2. Volvo EX90 - October 12

Volvo will launch the EX90 electric SUV in India on October 12, 2026. The three-row SUV will serve as the brand’s flagship electric SUV in the country. The Ultra variant comes with a 106 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 456 hp and 670 Nm of torque. The claimed driving range is up to 625 km. Equipment includes a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, a 9-inch driver display, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

3. Volvo ES90 - October 12

Volvo will introduce the ES90 electric sedan alongside the EX90 on October 12, 2026. The model will expand the company’s electric vehicle range in India. International specifications include 92 kWh and 106 kWh battery options, with power outputs ranging from 333 hp to 680 hp, depending on the variant. The ES90 uses an 800V electrical architecture and supports DC fast charging at up to 350 kW. The longest-range version has a claimed WLTP range of up to 696 km.

4. New-Generation Audi Q3 - October 16

Audi is scheduled to launch the third-generation Q3 in India on October 16, 2026. The new model features changes to its exterior and cabin and is 40 mm longer than the outgoing version. The India-spec SUV is expected to use a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing around 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque. The engine is expected to be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive. The new Q3 follows the start of local assembly operations in India.

5. Renault Duster Hybrid - October 17

Renault is expected to introduce the hybrid version of the new-generation Duster in India on October 17, 2026. The hybrid powertrain comprises a 1.8-litre petrol engine and two electric motors, with a combined output of 160 hp and 172 Nm of torque. The system uses a 1.4 kWh battery pack and an eight-speed multi-mode automatic transmission. The hybrid system is designed to support electric-only driving in urban conditions, with the vehicle capable of covering up to 80% of city driving in EV mode under the stated operating conditions.
