Volvo has expanded the EX30’s powertrain range with a new single-motor variant that produces around 110 kW (148 bhp) and uses a smaller 51 kWh battery, offering a WLTP-rated range of about 339 km (approximately 211 miles). The larger 69 kWh battery option, covering around 476 km (approximately 296 miles), remains available alongside existing configurations.
The company is also adding Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing the vehicle’s battery to supply power to external devices via an adapter. These updates come with a redesigned user interface intended to put key controls closer at hand and a customizable content bar for preferred shortcuts. Both the V2L feature and user experience revisions are planned to be delivered through over-the-air updates during summer 2026.
2026 Volvo EX30: Interior and Design Changes
For the 2026 cycle, Volvo has introduced two new interior themes for the EX30. The Harvest interior uses lighter textiles and recycled materials for a brighter feel, while the Black interior presents a dark-tone layout. The EX30 Black Edition can now be specified with the Black interior, and exterior colours like Onyx Black, Vapour Grey and Crystal White are available as part of the updated palette.
India Context - Launch and Availability
In India, the EX30 has already been launched by Volvo Car India with local pricing starting at Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom) and an introductory offer of Rs 39.99 lakh was available for early bookings.
Although Volvo has confirmed the EX30’s presence in India, there has been no specific official statement yet about whether the new smaller battery variant will be introduced in the Indian market. Volvo previously indicated that it was assessing local assembly and broader availability for the EX30, suggesting further changes could arrive later.
