Tata Motors has launched the 2026 Tiago EV in the Indian market with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 6.99 lakh. The company has also introduced the hatchback with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model, under which the vehicle can be purchased from Rs 4.69 lakh excluding battery subscription costs. The subscription fee under the BaaS plan starts at Rs 2.6 per kilometre.
The updated Tiago EV receives changes to the exterior design, cabin layout and equipment list while continuing with the same overall body shape. The electric hatchback competes in the entry-level EV segment alongside models such as the MG Comet EV and Citroën eC3.

2026 Tata Tiago EV: Design
The 2026 Tiago EV gets a revised front fascia featuring slimmer LED headlamps, a redesigned bumper and a closed-off grille finished in body colour. The front bumper also includes updated fog lamp housings and black exterior inserts.
On the sides, Tata Motors has added new alloy wheel designs along with black wheel arch cladding. At the rear, the hatchback receives updated LED tail lamps and a revised bumper. The tailgate now features larger ‘TIAGO’ lettering.
2026 Tata Tiago EV: Interior and Features
Inside the cabin, the Tiago EV now comes with a redesigned dashboard layout and black-grey upholstery theme. The feature list includes a floating touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, wireless phone chargers, rear AC vents, Type-C charging ports and connected car technology.
Additional features include a front armrest, updated door pads with toggle-style switches and a 360-degree camera system.
2026 Tata Tiago EV: Battery, Range and Charging
The Tiago EV continues with two battery pack options: a 19.2 kWh unit and a 24 kWh unit. Tata Motors claims a MIDC driving range of up to 285 km.
The 19.2 kWh variants produce 61 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, while the 24 kWh variants generate 73 bhp and 114 Nm of torque. The hatchback supports DC fast charging. According to the company, the battery can add up to 100 km of range in 18 minutes. The EV can also charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 35 minutes under claimed conditions.
2026 Tata Tiago EV: Safety Features
The updated Tiago EV comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill hold assist, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Tata Motors stated that the car has undergone additional crash testing as part of the update.
